Financial Advisors
In the life of an Investor it is virtually impossible to be able to make wise investment choices. There are so many financial institutions, multiple products (yet the same), so many investment choices and then the question of who to turn to, to help you.
What must an investor look for?

Firstly, make contact with a Financial Advisor who is reputable and more importantly registered with the necessary regulators. Financial Advisors are expected to be registered in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act. Registered advisors have to be licensed to offer financial advice and this license is renewable every year.
Over and above being FAIS registered, Financial Advisors will have agreements with the investment companies with whom they do business. They are not permitted to do business with companies without these agreements being in place.

In addition to the above, Financial Advisors are required to be qualified to give advice in different products.

Oasis has a strong compliance strategy to make sure that Financial Advisors, with whom they have agreements, can offer the necessary advice.

Also take the time, with the Financial Advisor, to read the Application for Investment and the Terms and Conditions, so that there is a clear understanding of what you are buying, as well as the parties involved in the transaction.
